Your new Arete Premium Divan Base or Éclat Premium Divan Base will be upholstered in one of our 25 premium quality fabrics, available in 19 hues – every colour from fresh lime or jade to light Champagne and earthy granite, coffee or terracotta. It couldn’t be easier to match your new divan bed to your home. Plus, the close weave makes these fabrics strong, protecting them from warn patches to keep your bed looking its best for longer.
Elsewhere, the top, sides and drawer fronts are padded with a layer of spun white fibre for a softer and plusher feel, hand machine stitched in the factory sewing department. This extra cushioning is upholstered further across the top surface than on our standard models, creating an ever-more appealing and comforting finish.
Fabric isn’t the only way you can personalise your new Arete or Éclat divan. For example, you can stand your Arete or Éclat divan on 11cm tall chrome or oak legs. And if you want extra bedroom storage, you can install up to four side-drawers into the base. Thanks to the black polyurethane backing that tops these new divan bed bases, everything you put inside will be protected from dust.

1. Arete Premium Divan Bed Base
Arete is Latin for quality and good character. It’s a platform divan bed base that’s slimmer than the Éclat and topped with a layer of padding that works particularly well with firmer latex or memory foam mattresses. Ultimately, this bed base is suitable for any and every mattress.
Order an Arete Premium Divan Bed Base in one of six UK sizes, from small single divan beds to double and super king. Your small single and single width divans will arrive in one piece, with all other sizes arriving in two sections to make them easier to carry into your bedroom. Simply secure them together with the linking bars.
2. Éclat Premium Divan Base
Éclat is Latin for brilliance and reputation. And not only is this a thicker divan bed base than the Arete, but you have a far greater choice of sizes – as many as 26, from UK wide single to EU double and special sizes, such as short super kings or small doubles.
The Éclat Premium Divan Base stands at 38cm (15inches) tall, but if that’s too high, you can lower the height for as little as £20. Alternatively, spend £35 for it to be built in two, three or four sections, should you have a narrow or spiral staircase leading up to your bedroom.
